Year 1 club description

Children should come to school with a change of clothes appropriate for outdoor sport, packed in their bag, with 1 or 2 snacks with a drink for the club.

Children in Year 2 are also welcome to join if we have spaces available. Children in Year 1 are also welcome to join on Tuesday if we have spaces available.

In our Year 1 club, children often compete in teams earning points for technique, teamwork, fair play, friendship values and winning games/activties.

We often play some fun Team Up games alongside a sport. The games often support the sport using skills as a fun introduction or can just be great warmup activities. The list of fun Team Up Games can be found by clicking the Team Up Games button below. Each week the main sport and friendship value focus will be different.

The timetable shows which sport and friendship value is expected to be coached for each session. This is subject to change based on a number of factors and will update the timetable when there are changes. Depending on the sport, speed of games and behaviour we can expect around 2-3 games as well as a sport each week.
